Jose Holder is an illustrator, award-winning director, screenplay writer, and producer currently living in Montreal, Canada.

With a degree in architecture and experience teaching in the owned and operated Apocalypse Studios, Montreal’s 1st comic book art school dedicated to the fundamentals of illustration, opportunities to create within the entertainment industry led to stints in film, television commercials, advertising, print media, web, live events, music videos, comics, and most recently, video games.

Project titles and clients have included X-Men: Apocalypse, Warm Bodies, Murder Mystery, RED2; Gotham Knights, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Rainbow Six: Siege; Ubisoft, Marvel, IDW, Aftershock Comics, BOOM!Studios, Image; McDonalds, CocaCola, Nike, Reebok; Warner Bros, Universal, Fox, Dark Castle, Summit Entertainment, and hundreds more.

His directorial debut, the horror sci-fi transmedia short called REDRUBY, garnered 31 film festival awards worldwide across 2017-2018, including Best Horror Short, Best Original Concept, Best Cinematography, Award Of Excellence, and the Directorial Discovery Award courtesy of the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

In 2021, Jose was the recipient of two pioneering fellowships: The Reelworld Producer’s Program, presented by Bell Media; and the Netflix - Banff Diversity Of Voices Initiative, both dedicated to promoting BIPOC experiences and inclusivity across the Canadian entertainment landscape. His company, SteelWalker Productions Inc. is now set to develop sci-fi horror genre programming for television through broadcasters and streaming platforms in the digital space.

He is currently employed by Warner Bros Games as a Sr. Concept Artist on WONDER WOMAN.
